Functional Movement

If you have never com across the term: “functional movement”, you will enjoy learning more about it and trying it with me. It is work but it is fun and it shows results.

  • As a Yoga teacher, functional movement means allowing the body to flow and move organically. But I personally found that women benefit from adding something extra to a simple yoga flow. That is, adding in extra control, strength, cardio, repetition and moving the body in challenging but expansive ways! How? I blend vinyasa Flow with pilates, barre, HIIT, animal flow (Budokon) and even weight resistance.

  • Classes are 45 minutes, which allows you to sweat, work hard, but also respect what your body needs, especially if you are busy and stressed.

  • As a woman in my 40s, I found that cardio doesn’t work. Long workouts are exhausting and boring, and my body responds well to different kinds of activation, shorter sessions, good work on the heart rate, without crazy cardio, and definition with low impact HIIT and some extra weights added to our own body weight!

  • This combo has worked magic for me and it will for you too!
